Abstract

In this paper, we present the results of the analysis of the hemodynamic response of the brain when performing various types of movements. As analyzed by the signal, we consider the dynamics of oxyhemoglobin, deoxyhemoglobin, total hemoglobin, and blood oxygen saturation. We propose an experimental design in which the subject performs two types of movements: single movement - the subject clearly squeeze and unsqueeze the hand once; a series of movements - the subject several times squeeze and unsqueeze the hand at a convenient pace for 10 seconds. We present the results of comparing these types of movements and consider various methods for analyzing the hemodynamic response.
