Abstract
The report is devoted to the problem of improving the accuracy characteristics of fiber-optic gyroscopes (FOG) based on the Sagnac effect. In particular, a method is considered for reducing the noise component of the FOG output signal by using information from an additional measurement channel. The report presents a mathematical model of the noise component of the FOG output signal with a noise compensation circuit, as well as the results of an analysis of the effect of circuit parameters on the noise reduction efficiency. Quantitative estimates of the theoretically achievable level of noise reduction in the FOG output signal are obtained, taking into account fundamental noise sources.
