Abstract
The major approaches to design an in vivo cytometer for the measurement of alien objects in the whole undiluted blood is discussed here. The major problems are highlighted with the examples of data that shows the main complications of in vivo cytometer design and data analysis. The model of cytometer performance and its value for the end users is developed. The workarounds for the main problems, the verification models, and some limiting factors are discussed.
