Abstract

In the course of the ROC analysis, we tested the synchrogram analysis method to study the synchronization of the systems of autonomic regulation of of heart rate and mean arterial pressure.

To test the method, we used artificial test data for which information about the boundaries of the synchronization intervals was known. The data reproduced the statistics of distributions of the length of synchronization intervals and areas of non-synchronous behavior, fluctuations of instantaneous oscillation frequencies and properties of phase noise in systems of autonomic regulation of heart rate and mean arterial pressure.

As a result, we identified a range of method parameters providing sensitivity at the level of 0.7 and specificity at the level of 0.3 and showed that the method is promising for solving problems of medical diagnostics.
